Kyle Viljoen made quite the impression on Below Deck Mediterranean season 7 before an unexpected injury ended his charter season, but what has the second stew been up since? Before he joined Captain Sandy Yawn and his crew mates on the popular Below Deck spin-off, South Africa native Kyle already had several years of yachting experience under his belt. While Kyle’s lovable personality and entertaining theatrics were one of the series’ biggest highlights, Below Deck Mediterranean season 7 featured enough drama to go around, especially between chief stew Natasha Webb and Chef Dave White.

Unfortunately, while viewers called Kyle the Below Deck Mediterranean season 7 MVP, soon after the series returned in July, Kyle’s time as second stew was cut short. Like fan-favorite Captain Lee Rosbach from the main Below Deck series, Kyle had to deal with an injury onboard after he twisted his ankle.
