Germany-based builders ALVA Yachts has announced the sale of the second Ocean Eco 90 Open multihull yacht. The 27.5-metre electric solar catamaran comes with electric propulsion and a transatlantic range.Photo: ALVA YachtsThe Ocean Eco 90 Open has been designed with responsible yachting at its core, with an expansive roof specifically conceived for integrated solar panels. The panels take energy from the sun and store it in the battery packs that power the electric engines, providing her with a transatlantic range and virtually unlimited autonomy.Photo: ALVA YachtsThe first Ocean Eco 90 sold offers an enclosed flybridge, carbon and stainless steel reinforcement for the hull structure and many other modifications. Her main saloon has also been adapted to remove the helm station, while her enclosed upper bridge with 360 degree views, can be used as a saloon, skylounge or owner’s stateroom.

The second hull is the open version of the Ocean Eco 90 and boasts an open flybridge and helm station. She also includes a sky lounge, cocktail bar and Jacuzzi on her top deck.
