We’re going to go out on a limb here and say that the 2022 edition of the Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade has its first grand marshal who has given a TED Talk, sashayed on “RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race” and performed at New York punk-rock mecca CBGB.
And you thought you knew Taylor Dayne.
Best known for indelible late-’80s pop hits “Tell It to My Heart,” “Prove Your Love,” “Love Will Lead You Back” and “With Every Beat of My Heart,” the 60-year-old New York native will lead the Winterfest Boat Parade through Fort Lauderdale on Saturday night with fellow grand marshals Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick of NSYNC.
The Winterfest Boat Parade begins at 6:30 p.m., when yachts, boats, paddleboards and other floating craft ablaze in holiday lights will sail out of downtown east along the New River and into the Intracoastal Waterway.

Winterfest viewing is free along the route, but the official parade-viewing party, with seating, is at Las Olas Intracoastal Promenade Park, 80 Las Olas Circle, on the south side of the East Las Olas Boulevard bridge. Tickets cost $25 for general-admission seats and $20 for kids age 10 and younger at WinterfestParade.com.
