Ocean Independence Introduces Charter Carbon Offset Programme

Ocean Independence, one of the world’s leading brokerage houses, has partnered with ClimatePartner, a global company with headquarters in Switzerland, to offer a new Charter Carbon Offset Program.
Through the collaboration with ClimatePartner, charter clients of Ocean Independence can counteract the effects of greenhouse gas emissions. The expected amount of greenhouse gas emissions from the fuel used during the charter will be calculated and this amount will be offset by investing in various projects.
These projects have many benefits, such as improving livelihoods, conserving biodiversity and contributing to the UN’s sustainable development goals.

All projects selected by Ocean Independence from ClimatePartner are based on international standards and are independently verified. Following charter, clients will receive a certificate detailing the amount of emissions which have been offset and the projects supported.
