Construction has begun on the first 35.2 metre Pershing GTX116, the flagship and first unit of Pershing’s brand new GTX line. The model, which combines the functionality of a Sports Utility Yacht with signature Pershing performance, was unveiled for the first time at the Miami International Boat Show 2022.
According to Ferretti Group, the GTX series is “set to revolutionise the sports yacht concept and establish unprecedented standards of cruising pleasure.”
Conceived by Pershing, a Ferretti Group brand, the GTX116 is the result of a collaboration between the Ferretti Group Strategic Product Committee led by Mr Piero Ferrari, the design firm headed by Fulvio De Simoni, and the Ferretti Group’s engineering department.
The hull was built at the Ferretti Group plug and mould plant using techniques based on “advanced technology”, while maintaining Pershing’s commitment to hand-crafted quality, according to the yard.

The new model is characterised by a streamlined profile that reflects the yacht’s sporty capacities and borrows design cues from the Gran Turismo automotive imagery. With 165 square metres of fully-interconnected outdoor areas, the GTX116 demonstrates an increased focus on alfresco living.

A 38 square metre beach club is attached to an electro-hydraulic taffrail that opens up to connect the beach area with the swim platform, creating a waterfront lounge area. A garage ensures the water can be enjoyed to its full capacity, with space for a tender measuring more than five metres, plus a Jetski and water toys.
The forward living area can be accessed via the portside walkways or through the bridge, where there is an option to install a Jacuzzi. The GTX116 is crowned by a 41 square metre sundeck, with a helm station, generous seating area and protection from the elements thanks to a carbon hard top.

Meanwhile, the interior on the first model offers a five-cabin layout and large windows that flood the social spaces with natural light. The alternative configuration comprises four cabins, with the benefit of an additional living area.
The design themes revolve around refined tones, mirrored surfaces and classic “Made in Italy” materials, including leather by Poltrona Frau.
