British Fairline Yachts Sets Its Sights On The USA

In British boatbuilding, there are three standout names – Sunseeker, Princess and Fairline. The latter may be the smaller of the two but its ranges of luxury motoryachts – including the Phantom 65 which was unveiled at Cannes Yachting Festival in September – have growing international appeal.
To date, Fairline Yachts has been present but not overly active in the USA, but this is about to change. Visitors to next February’s Miami International Boat Show will be hard-pushed to avoid this British shipyard, which has its sights firmly as it renews focus on the States. Part of its strategy has involved the appointment of new partners to strengthen its dealer network, including Strong’s Marine and Nautical Ventures.
“Fairline is back in the US,” says Miles Moorhouse, Head of Marketing at Fairline Yachts. “Fairline has finally got its ducks in a row to really re-engage with the US boating market.”
As the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show comes to a close, Moorhouse speaks to Forbes about its newest yacht, the Phantom 65, and what US customers can look forward to in the coming months.
