AB Yacht Design & Naval Architecture Unveils 60m Sportfisher Concept Project Canyon

AB Yacht Design & Naval Architecture, the British studio under designer Aristotelis Betsis, has unveiled a 60-metre (196-foot) sportfisher superyacht concept called Project Canyon.
The past few years have seen a wave of large-scale sportfisher superyachts, and demand for the traditionally American yachts has reached an all-time high across the industry.
The yacht combines the utilitarian and adventure-focused nature of sportfishers with the luxury of a superyacht. The exterior design is characterised by smooth lines and a modern aesthetic, with the tower fitting seamlessly into the overall design rather than dominating it.
“We always try to invest time in the development of concepts,” said Betsis, design director at AB Yacht Design & Naval Architecture. “Creativity comes best with freedom and concepts enable us to create with just the necessary limits. We are a fresh studio, and we want to stay that way.”
She features an inverted bow and slender hull, bringing the owner and guests closer to the water and ensuring smooth cruising even in high seas. The yacht has a top speed of 22 knots, so she is capable of getting to off-shore fishing grounds in excellent time.
