Cannes Yachting Festival (September 6-11) marks the beginning of the September boat show season and is set to host one of the biggest selections of world debuts seen in recent years. Despite the disruption caused by the pandemic and supply chain chaos, shipyards have continued to roll out the finest superyachts against all odds, which means there are plenty of new models available on the market. Here are 15 of the hottest new launches to look out for in Cannes this year…
Sunseeker 100 Yacht
Length: 29.85m
Builder: Sunseeker
The first Sunseeker 100 Yacht was lowered into the water in Poole Harbour in April this year ahead of its maiden tour of the Mediterranean. The new model marks the start of a “new era” in flybridge design for Sunseeker and is defined by a walkaround flybridge that connects the top deck with the foredeck lounge.
102 Corsaro Super
Length: 30.18 metres
Builder: Riva
As the first model in Riva’s 102 Corsaro Super range, the motor yacht is presented as the heir apparent of the yard’s popular 100 Corsaro model. She is penned inside and out by Officina Italiana Design, who worked in partnership with Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department. Stand-out features include a 35-square-metre beach club with direct access to the water, while owners can choose from two interior configurations.
B.Yond 37
Length: 37m
Builder: Benetti
Goga is the first of eight B.Yond models currently on order or under construction. The newly launched semi-custom superyacht by Benetti was the last project in collaboration with designer Stefano Righini before his passing and billed as “the greenest model in its class”. She stretches 8.6 metres across in the beam making it almost a metre wider than the Motopanfilo model. The conscious decision to keep her LOA under 40 metres means the boat can go alongside or stern-to in smaller Mediterranean harbours.
SP110
Length: 33.53m
Builder: Sanlorenzo
The SP110 is the first in the shipyard’s SP series – or ‘Smart Performance’ range – and represents Sanlorenzo’s entry into the sports yacht market. Highlights include a jet-propulsion system – the model is capable of reaching up to 40 knots – and a two-storey atrium visible from the aft deck. The first hull was launched in May and christened Almax.
Custom Line 140
Length: 42.15m
Builder: Custom Line
The flagship of Custom Line, a brand of the Ferretti Group, offers generous onboard spaces thanks to its 400GT and 8.5 metre beam. The design…
